Well, we kind of did it. In a sense. I think my dad understands what is happening and I think my mom doesn't want to understand. Although I tried to explain later on.

As an aside, but relating to the topic, everyone needs to read the comments posted to my last entry.

Xena or Ellen? Discuss.

Also, not sure now if I will be going to China. If not, I will be heading for the burg sooner than expected. Visa stuff. Nasty, nasty miscommunication. But, here's hoping.

Xena's girlfriend gets a neat costume. Actually, she had several costumes during the run of the show, so there's a choice.

Ellen's girlfriend probably does not get a costume. Probably.

Xena is the better singer, but Ellen has much more money. She's also in a less dangerous line of work. Her girlfriend would probably not wind up being held at knife-point by a hairy, unwashed barbarian warlord. Probably.

I think Xena is more attractive physically (although I think Ellen is better looking than she gets credit for), but she's also got more emotional baggage.

Really, it's a tough call. But for living in Lynchburg, it may be worth remembering that Jerry Falwell has (surprisingly) never said anything about Xena, while he's specifically condemned Ellen.

I'm going to have to go with Ellen, mostly because I think Xena and Gabrielle are such a cute couple!
